This morning, the US Department of Justice (ha) announced the formation of a “National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center.” This center is intended to provide training and technical assistance to law enforcement officials, prosecutors, attorneys, judges, clinicians, victim service and social service providers, community organizations, and behavioral health professionals responsible for implementing laws designed to keep
Make no mistake, the Feds are going to issue red flag orders to anyone that is not politically reliable. My recommendation is for you to maintain several caches of off paper or untraceable weapons for insurance against a red flag order that will see police coming to seize your firearms after some liberal asshole manages to report you to the Stasi.
The war on the right continues.

Will it have an anonymous call feature so that ex lovers or scheming co-workers and neighbors can turn in shirkers against the New Civility?
The drooling dullards who call in probably have no clue about an IP address or sailfawn (phone) tracking.
Getting my gear gathered up for Pineland relocation as the Fundamental Transformation into some Great Leap Forward Bolshevik Revolution is just too lame for words.

A gun-related site reported that the ATF has reduced the processing time for Class Iii suppressor applications to a few weeks, rather than months.
I wonder if this is a trap, as the Class III licenses WAIVE 4th Amendment rights of the holder, permitting the ATF to enter at any time to “make sure that the licensed property is still safely stored where you told them it is”. That they would inventory everything else that you have is certain.
Look for actions regarding “safe storage” of ammo and powder, “hoarding” of food and supplies, etc.
It seems to me that the .gov plans to solve the problem that we present, and soon.

There is no such thing as a class iii license

Sorry: I recalled Class III Dealer, and misspoke. The provision that allows the ATF to inspect and verify firearms and accessories required to be licensed under the GCA of 1934 does exist under that law.
Thanks for the work you do with your blog.

Even then. The term you are looking for is SOT. An SOT is the tax that an FFL pays in order to also deal in NFA weapons.

Mea Culpa. MY BAD.
The inspection requirement for Class III weapons and silencers without warrant applied to manufacturers and dealers, not to individual owners or gun trusts. John.

They are running on fumes – scared of the citizens. Just shows that they are not in control.

“I lost all my guns in a boating accident” is all they need to know.

You won’t know that they are coming until they are already there

I’m reminded of a scene in “Fail-Safe” (a MUCH better Cold War book/movie than Dr. Strangelove IMHO). If you haven’t read it, there is a character named Dr. Groteschele, who is a Herman Kahn think tank person. At one point, a conversation about Anne Frank’s family is recounted. Groteschele’s father states, “The Frank family should have fought back. The stairs to their attic apartment should have been drenched in the blood of the Nazis and the Franks. If the first Jew to be rounded up had done that, the round ups would have stopped.”
Food for thought. Very few have the courage to fight back against the state. We all saw what happened at Ruby Ridge and Waco.

Closest gun: On my hip or under my pillow
Farthest gun: In a sealed tube buried in a locked pelican case (with plenty of ammo and a few maintenance items like cleaning brush, lube, etc…) about 30 miles away. Buried based off landmarks without a cell phone around.
