The press is supposed to keep the people informed on what government officials are doing, but today it fails in its job, in that the press isn’t doing any actual reporting. What they are doing is simply asking the questions that they are being told to ask.

It’s come out that interviews of Biden are completely staged because reporters are being told what questions to ask.

Ingram told ABC he didn’t see anything necessarily wrong with the practice. “To think that I was gonna get an opportunity to ask any question to the President of the United States, I think, is a bit more than anybody should expect,” he said.

The expectation of all of us should be that the press is more than just the disinformation bureau of the President’s office.

I view the US media the same way Soviets viewed Pravda – they KNEW that whatever the official line was, the very opposite was the actual truth……..

This is contrast to the media’s treatment, and censorship, of the previous President.

This is news to anyone? No surprise at all.

The press is supposed to keep the people informed on what government officials are doing

Who told you that? Government employees in your mandatory-attendance elementary “school”! Did the mainstream media put sharp questions to the Egyptian Pharaohs 6,000 years ago? Of course not, their job was to cheerlead and promote the powers that be.

The expectation of all of us should be that the press is more than just the disinformation bureau of the President’s office.

Can you explain, using small words, why that should be your expectation? Is it because Norman Rockwell portrayed it for the mainstream media decades ago? Portraying some guy standing up in a small town meeting and asking for the Epstein client list? Consider the interaction of the political education trend lines. You are learning about political reality faster than they can direct you to the boxcars? Did you get your new clot shots yet?

A free press is necessary to keep the government honest. We are seeing the results of the loss of that particular “check” on power unfortunately. And it was utterly voluntary.
