The scenario presents a real opportunity for the voters to tell the government to shove it. If Everybody boycotted paying taxes this year…. you might get mass amnesty, LOLOLOLOL!
OF course they government won’t do anything, and neither will the people. But one does have a good argument for non-payment, on moral grounds.
Seriously though, it would be nice if all this fraud being exposed causes people to start taking politics and politicians more seriously.

Bexar county ( San Antonio area) commissioners voted in Dec to fund a legal fund for illegals being deported to the tune of $566k of tax payer monies. This is also called you get what you vote for.
Most local services can be funded through a consumption tax. More money in people’s pockets=more spending to fund

Until more Americans start paying closer attention to local and state elections, not much will change. Local pols are the ones that move up to state level and state to national.
