Cop Cars Have the Best Drugs

A sheriff’s office volunteer was caught selling drugs from his marked patrol vehicle.

This isn’t anything new. When I was in high school some 40 years ago, there was an Orange county deputy who used to sit in his patrol car on International Drive just south of Sand Lake Road, right there where it became a dirt road. He used to sell drugs out of his patrol car. Everyone knew he had good stuff, because it had been tested by the police drug lab.

Congress Shall Make No Law…

This is why the Disinformation Governance Board bothers me so…

Let me quote her directly: (pdf alert)

The commission would harmonize definitions of concepts such as terrorist or extremist content, hate speech, abuse, and disinformation across the Internet and ensure platforms are adhering to those definitions; define and require that platforms obtain informed and meaningful consent to their terms of service, serving as an awareness building mechanism about data privacy issues and the limits of speech on the platforms; serve as a neutral appellate body for users who feel their content has been unjustly removed; and conduct public audits of algorithms, account takedowns, and data stewardship. Most importantly, however, it would have the convening power to bridge the gap between industry, government, and academia, ensuring that these sectors no longer operate in isolation, or worse, counter to shared goals.

In the absence of the political will necessary to create a whole-of-society response to online disinformation, Congress must empower a professional, non-partisan commission to lead this charge, convene disparate stakeholders, and establish a shared understanding of the threat.

Let that sink in. She wants to control, by deputizing corporations, what people can and cannot say.

You Need a Lesson

Parents are waking up to what is going on in their children’s schools. Teachers are teaching ethnic and gender studies courses, but schools are refusing to release any details to the point where parents are having to sue the school district to find out what is being taught.

Parents are rightfully upset. So how do school boards across the country respond? By calling parents terrorists and telling them that they “need to be taught a lesson” in professionalism. Had I been at that meeting, I would likely have been escorted out by police after I stood up and told her that elected officials need to be taught a lesson about who they are actually working for and what part of my anatomy that dictatorial harpy could place her oral labia.

Pence

There are reports of some of the goings on behind the scenes on J6. That is, what was going on with regards to VP Pence. Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland, who is also a member of the committee investigating the Capitol riot, is alleging that Pence refused to get into the limo to be evacuated from the Capitol because he believed that his Secret Service detail was conspiring with the Trump SS detail to disrupt the counting of the electoral college ballots.

[Pence] uttered what I think are the six most chilling words of this entire thing I’ve seen so far: ‘I’m not getting in that car,'” Raskin said. “He knew exactly what this inside coup they had planned for was going to do.”

That’s right- the Democrats are alleging that the Secret Service was engaged in a coup attempt to install Trump as the President. That not only was the SS involved, so was Trump and the entire crowd that was present at the protest march on January 6.

I wonder what the Secret Service thinks about that.

More Inflation

Publix supermarket has had a free prescription program since 2007. A list of medications including blood pressure, diabetes, and antibiotic medications were free at Publix for the past 15 years. The supermarket chain claims to have filled over 100 million free prescriptions during that time.

That comes to an end on June 1. Instead, many of those medications will be available for $7.50 for a 90 day supply WITH INSURANCE. So those who have relied on Publix to fill prescriptions will now have to scramble to find insurance.

Inflation in the Biden economy continues.

Teens

Two “teens” decided to redistribute a homeowner’s car and got shot for their trouble. Note that the report doesn’t mention the race of those involved, but the local news stations are well known for burying the details of criminals that don’t fit the narrative.

This happened in the Pine Hills neighborhood of Orlando. The city refers to the area thusly: “Pine Hills is one of the most ethnically diverse regions of the Greater Orlando metropolitan area and is a minority majority community.”

For those of you who don’t know, locals refer to that area of town as “Crime Hills,” and it’s an area where you don’t want to get caught after dark, especially if you are white. The area is more than 70% black, and has a violent crime rate that is 73% higher than the average US neighborhood. The crime in the neighborhood is bad enough that there are numerous charities and government programs that are dedicated to lowering violent crime in the area.

The best way to defend yourself in Pine Hills is just don’t go to Pine Hills.
