They caught the shooter. He confessed to his father, who then contacted a minister who put them in contact with a US Marshal. I commend that father for doing what was right. I also wonder who will get the $100,000 in reward money, and if it goes to the father, will that money be used for the suspect’s defense?
What kills me is that the MSM is saying that no motive is yet known for the shooting, and they don’t know if it was political or not, even though the ammo in the murder weapon was inscribed with things like “Here fascist, catch.”
No, the left has to own this one. They won’t, though.
Instead they will bleat on about J6 or Pelosi’s husband getting attacked with a hammer after he stiffed a male prostitute more than once in a single night.

I am not as big as someone like Charlie Kirk, but I have been the recipient of deplatforming attempts. I have gotten death threats. Not just on this blog or its associated email address. A couple of nutjobs have actually found my real email address and sent threats there. I can only take that as a threat that they know who I am.
So yeah, the left are the ones fomenting violence.
For the record, I am not suicidal, homicidal, or contemplating committing a violent act in any manner inconsistent with self defense.
Now, if you will excuse me, I am off to write a paper for my class. I have to get off of here and do something productive…

Fighting Words
Fighting words are:
“Words which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace.”
This comes from the Supreme Court case Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire (1942). The Court held that certain “well-defined and narrowly limited” categories of speech are not protected by the First Amendment—including fighting words.
Just being offensive isn’t enough. The speech has to be:
- Directed at a specific individual.
- Likely to provoke an immediate violent reaction.
You be the judge: Is showing up to a candlelight vigil for Charlie Kirk, then standing in the middle of the crowd yelling “Fuck Charlie Kirk” fit the category of “fighting words?” If so, it isn’t proteected speech. They guy that did exactly that did so because he wanted to incite a reaction from the crowd. He got what he wanted.
The cops had no business interfering with the ass whipping that he wanted, asked for, and was about to get.

Read this guy’s perspective on rights:
Ludwig believes that all rights come from government. That’s patently ridiculous. If I were alone on an island, I would have the right to speech. I could keep and bear arms. The only way that I can lose those rights is if someone takes them from me.
That’s why government morally exists- to keep others from taking your rights. This is why we have a Constitution that lays out the powers of government- what that government CAN do, and what it CAN NEVER do.
Not so in Mr. Ludwig’s world. He believes that, unless there is a government present that tells me I may speak, I simply don’t have the right to do so. That’s fundamentally out of line with the ideas of the Founders of this Nation, whose thoughts on this were based upon the philosophies of John Locke and Thomas Hobbes.
This is where the left gets the idea that food, shelter, clothing, and healthcare are human rights. They are not, and they never have been. If I have a human right to any of those things, it follows that I can force someone to provide it to me.
Enter a law forcing someone to pick my cotton, my oranges, build my houses, and perform free healthcare services. Even enacting price controls is a form of slavery, and to claim otherwise is exactly the same thing as saying “if I only put the tip in, it isn’t rape.”
The saddest part of this, is that Mr. Ludwig is an attorney. His college failed him when they failed to teach the basics of the Constitution and its underlying philosophy.

He claims that Australia and Scotland are “just as free as we are.” Let’s check into that.
Police Scotland has warned the public not to spread misinformation after a 12-year-old girl was charged for brandishing weapons in Dundee when she was being attacked. Police can arrest you for “spreading misinformation.”
In Australia, people who have COVID or have been exposed to COVID were sent to internment camps until late in 2022. If you escape, you were arrested. Democrats in the news media denied this, saying that camps in Australia aren’t technically internment camps because they were only for the quarantine of travelers, even though that’s exactly what the Aussies were calling them. As to the claim that it was a quarantine camp for arriving travellers, well, let’s hear from one of the internees:
Go ahead, Tim. Start sending police to confiscate people’s guns. Light that match and see what happens.

The left was busy mocking Republicans all week, but in the process demonstrated that if it weren’t for double standards, the left would have no standards at all. The mayor of Minneapolis had this to say:
Anybody who is using this as an opportunity to villainize our trans community, or any other community out there, has lost their sense of common humanity.
But proving that they are true assholes, he went on to say this:
Don’t just say that this is about thoughts and prayers right now, these kids were literally praying.
Mocking prayer by saying that it does nothing as children are being shot while praying? That’s a new low.
I have made no secret of the fact that I am an atheist, but I understand the sentiment of “thoughts and prayers.” When someone says that, it’s a statement that you are in their thoughts, and they are wishing you well as they grieve with you. To turn that into an attack on the person’s religion makes you an asshole. To do that almost immediately after demanding that people ignore the shooter and his fucked up mental state is beyond the pale. This is proof that there is just no coexisting with the left. They are simply evil. There is no other way to phrase it.
Isn’t it odd that the left is heaping scorn upon the religions of the world and mocking them, all while calling the other side the “party of hate?”
