A teen submitted a poem to her school newspaper, and the paper refused to publish it. She is suing. The reason for the refusal is that the teacher who was the editor declared that the poem was too controversial. The poem was about Chauvin and Floyd.
I hope she wins. Why? Because at its most basic, the lawsuit is not about free speech. After all, no one is telling this girl that she can’t say whatever she wishes. The crux of the argument here is whether or not a publisher can decide what they will publish. If the school newspaper can be forced to publish a George Floyd poem, then it can also be forced to publish another student’s poem about fraud in the 2020 election, or how the jab is killing people.
School newspapers have long suppressed those on the right. A decision in this case can only be in favor of the right. Why? If the girl loses, it is status quo ante. If she wins, the precedent can be used to the right’s advantage.
Remember when the Biden administration said there would be no federal database to track your vaccination status? He lied. Again. Here comes a tracking system, sponsored by OSHA. National ID card system. I am sure that illegal immigrants will be exempt.
It is now Sixthmas eve- the day before the holiest of Democrat holidays. This is the biggest holiday of the year for the left. I was going to write a poem based upon “A Visit from St. Nick, but then I remember that Ashli Babbit was murdered in cold blood and decided against it. Even so, my sense of humor is still messed up, so I leave you with this from the Babylon Bee:
The Atlanta Gun Show, held over a weekend in late September, had everything one might need for a coming apocalypse or civil war: flame throwers, hundreds of rifles, thousands of handguns and knives, body armor, survival kits, medical supplies…Nestled in the middle of the show at the Atlanta Expo Center, a man proudly displayed Nazi memorabilia: medals, swastika patches and a model of a German amphibious vehicle occupied by toy Nazi soldiers. People crowded around his table, asking questions about buying and selling Nazi stuff.
Let’s look at that table of Nazi memorabilia.
Looks evil, right? Let’s take a closer look:
Not a Nazi. This table is selling war memorabilia from all three of the major suppliers of weapons, but a person buying and selling Japanese WW2 military items doesn’t support the true goal here: making gun owners look like they are trying to kill minorities. This is about turning 2A supporters into racist killers.
This is another attempt at making the same stupid “terrorist” argument they always do. Trump supporters were terrorists in October.
NBC claimed that Republicans are planning an armed insurrection and that Steve Bannon has turned Breitbart News into a right wing ethno-Nationalist Propaganda mill. (Oct 4, 2021)
The Guardian says that Republicans are meeting as a part of secret hate groups who want to target non-whites and LGTBQOENC… (Sept 30, 2021)
The 2020 election had some odd forewarning. Just two weeks before the election, my wife and I took a road trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway. On the way, we saw tons of Trump signs and stickers, almost no Biden ones. I mean, it was running ten to one. I thought to myself that there was no way that Biden was running a good enough campaign to win. We all know what happened next.
The 2022 midterm elections will tell the tale. This is how we know whether or not the 2020 election’s shenanigans will be a permanent feature. Historically, the sitting President’s political party does poorly if the economy is also not well.
The President’s popularity has much to do with this. According to Gallup’s polling history, presidents with an approval rating below 50 percent have seen their party lose 37 House seats on average while presidents with a 50 percent or higher approval rating have lost 14 on average. Only two U.S. presidents have seen their party gain House seats according to the American Presidency Project – Bill Clinton in 1998 and George W. Bush in 2002.
Now here I am, looking at all of this with only ten months to the mid term elections. Note that the Democrats don’t really look all that concerned. Sure, they are SAYING they are worried, but if they were really concerned, they would be doing their usual preelection rush to look centrist. They aren’t trying to change course, aren’t really DOING anything about the situation. The actions continue to show that they are still following the hard leftward course. It’s like they know the fix is in and have nothing to worry about. I really home I am wrong with this one.
If the Supreme Court ruling, expected in mid-2022, on New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen establishes an unrestricted right to carry a gun anywhere in the country, bringing firearms to the Capitol in Washington, D.C. could be perfectly legal. Says Winkler: “The Supreme Court may be close to issuing the ruling that leads to the overthrow of the U.S. government.”
My answer to this is that the government SHOULD be afraid of its citizens. Don’t be dictatorial assholes and there won’t be a problem.
Look for more articles like this, along with a red flag event some time in 2024, probably after another manipulated election. Then they will have all the excuse they need for a military crackdown.
Every person has the right to freedom of expression, association, peaceful assembly, and petition of the government for redress of grievances, consistent with the rights of others to the same and subject to responsibility for abuses. All conflicts of such rights shall be resolved in accordance with the principle of equality and dignity of all persons.
Of course the escape clause embedded in the above makes the entire thing meaningless. Now look at the proposed 2A:
All people have the right to bodily autonomy consistent with the right of other people to the same, including the right to defend themselves against unlawful force and the right of self-determination in reproductive matters. The government shall take reasonable measures to protect the health and safety of the public as a whole.
Note that this Amendment is now not about Arms, but about abortion. It’s poorly written, though. I could make a case that a fetus is a person, and has the right to defend itself. That would also mean that others could defend that fetus. Could a person then use force against an imminent abortion?
It’s all academic, of course. I don’t think you’ll get the requisite 3/4 of state legislatures to ratify it.
