The Right to Bear Arms that is protected by the Second Amendment is the safeguard, the one right that protects all of the others. Once a people have been disarmed, they no longer have rights. What they are permitted to do is only at the pleasure of whatever government official wants to get his dictatorship on. I am quite sure that the regular readers of this blog are aware of this.

Gun ownership has been severely restricted in the EU. It’s nearly impossible for a subject of the EU to own a firearm, and the noose has been getting tightened to the point of a near ban.

Now it should come as no surprise that the EU has just created a law permitting the arrest of any journalist, if government officials deem it to be in the public interest to do so. Odd that the left is screaming about Trump being the Fascist, isn’t it?

The EU is behaving like the New Forth Reich. The people rights have been forfeited to the state.

I find it interesting all the left in the states looks to Europe with admiration while calling everyone who has even some disagreement with them facist. Meanwhile they themselves are the ones that could be doubling as brown shirts pre WW2 with how they act and who they want removed from the public.

But if you are a german leftwing politician, like Claudia Fatima Roth (and no, Fatima is not her real name, but because she is so anti-german, she was given this nickname) you can get a gun faster then you say “Hello”.
According to those who saw her up close she always carries a loaded .357 in her purse. She denies it, of course, as the Greens are against private ownership of weapons, but she is also on record that she always carries a defense against Nazi attacks on her all the time.

And, claiming self-defense is no valid reason to go for gun ownership.
And even for gas pistols you need a small Firearms licence if you want to carry it outside your home. And trainstations, trains, busses and other public venues are off limits to guns, knifes etc. . And if you apply for the small firearm licence you are told that there is something called the police and then they deny you your licence. You have to apply a second time or get a lawyer and then you are considered a rightwing loony or even a Nazi.

For a normal gun you need the Weapons ownership card (Waffenbesitzkarte) and then you may own a gun and this is very, very hard to get. And if you want to carry the gun you need a standard firearms licence.

Soon, you can expect the same rules to apply to speech.
