These social media “challenges” are stupid

The Federal government has rescinded the license extension of the Turkey Point nuclear power plant, located near Miami. The stated reason is that global climate change will cause sea levels to rise, and the plant’s environmental impact statement didn’t take that into account.

So instead, we will continue to rely upon coal plants. There is no way that wind and solar can make up for the loss of this plant. That plant produces 12 gigawatt hours of electric power per year.

In comparison, every solar panel in the state of Florida produces 7.5 gigawatt hours each year, combined.

If you are an unpopular head of state, there is nothing like a war with an external threat to distract a dissatisfied electorate from your domestic policy failures. That’s why this article smells like manipulation.

Seriously? The Russians want to take Alaska and California? This isn’t reporting. It’s propaganda.

Remember the Antifa member in Denver who was working as an unlicensed security guard while illegally armed, who then shot and killed the Trump supporter? Not only did he get out of jail with no bail, the DA has dropped all charges.

As a certified rescue diver, public safety diver, and former member of more than one dive rescue team (since retired), I have done some crazy body recoveries. Mostly in zero visibility swamp water that was like diving into black paint. I have seen snakes, alligators, and more when looking for bodies. Not once has it ever been hairy enough to require a protective sniper. That is some scary shit.

Massachusetts is now admitting that they overstated the number of COVID deaths because they were counting everyone who died within 60 days of receiving a positive COVID test result as having died from COVID, even if they actually died from, say, a car accident.

By cutting the criteria from 60 days to 30 days, the number of Massachusetts COVID deaths was reduced from 23,000 to 19,300- that’s a 16% reduction. If they changed the criteria to require that people who die are only counted as COVID deaths if they actually died of COVID, that could reduce the number of COVID deaths by at least a third!

This is just another data point that reinforces the idea that all of the so called “conspiracy theories” and falsehoods that we were being villified for were correct all along. I wonder when we will finally be able to verify that the 2020 election was faked as well.

A father was denied access by his wife to the delivery room for the birth of his own child, so instead of sitting around in the waiting room, he went home. The wife is now angry about it and is refusing to even speak to him. I agree. There is a high likelihood that I would instead have gone to a divorce attorney.

There are hospitals that don’t give anyone a choice– no one is allowed in the delivery room except the mother.

The courts have backed this sort of behavior- on the one hand, the courts have said that mothers can ban fathers from the delivery room, but when it comes time for child support, then it is “pay up, buddy. Didn’t you know that it takes two to have a child?”

Here is my answer- you want the hospital bill paid? The person in the delivery room is the one paying it. That wasn’t me in there, so that isn’t my problem.
