Myth Busted

The climate change hucksters are claiming that March of 2024 was the warmest on record. I thought this year was rather cool, so I did a little checking.

I have a personal weather station on the roof of my (old) house. It recorded the temperature of March for years. This year, there were 11 days where the high temperature never went above 79 degrees, last year there were 8. In 2024, the high temperature was not above 90 degrees on any day of the month. In 2023, the mercury rose above 90 degrees three times.

There were 5 days in 2023 where the low temperature was below 50 degrees. There were 9 such days in 2024. The coldest morning of March 2024 was 42 degrees, on the 20th. In 2023, the thermometer showed that we hit 42 degrees twice, and 41 was the low for the month, on the 21st.

In other words, it was cooler this year than it was last year, but not by much. Still, that means this March was certainly not the hottest ever. Don’t piss on my shoes and tell me that it’s raining.

Militarization of the IRS

The IRS has spent tax week training new agents in “dynamic entry” of suburban homes.

They are not doing this to target drug dealers and organized crime leaders. The government is preparing an independent army of IRS agents who can work undercover, spy on citizens, and seize assets.

You don’t need machine guns to catch tax cheats, you need accountants armed with calculators and spreadsheets.

Statists: “Weapons of War do not belong on Our Streets. They are evil machines whose only purpose is to kill dozens of people at once”

Also statists: *give assault weapons to the Department of Agriculture and the IRS*

Domestic Terrorism

How to get the idiot to release the rebar:

  • Heat the rebar with an acetylene torch
  • energize the rebar using an electric fence controller
  • or repeatedly punch him in the face, with a shovel.

Watch the video here and tell me what solutions you would like to see.

People are catching on that the system is screwed up. It’s waking people up to how bad it really is.

Amen, brother

The only part of this that I disagree with is the statement “Donald Trump is going to crush these people in November.” They are proving, through these actions, that they will stop at nothing to cheat their way into victory. I don’t think that the election will be a fair one, and for that reason, I believe that Biden will win. They will make it look close so it appears just close enough to give the left a fig leaf, but the outcome is certain.

Being Overrun

While my new house was being built, a visit to the construction site on any given day would show you that no one on the construction crew could speak English. The refrain we get from the left is that “illegals do the jobs that Americans won’t do.” No, they do it for half price, because half price is still much more than they would earn in whatever shithole they came from. Still, the savings that are to be had by employing illegals is only realized by their employer, in this case the builder.

Working at my hospital, we are seeing signs that this area is being overrun by illegal immigrants. The ED at my hospital has tablets that automatically connect to medical interpreters by teleconference. The rule is that we are required to use them for gaining and disseminating information about a patient’s medical condition, if that patient doesn’t speak English.

There are three interpreter tablets for our entire ED. They are in nearly constant use, and it isn’t just Spanish. Just this week, I have had patients who only speak Haitian Creole, Spanish, and even Czech. I have at least one patient a day that doesn’t speak English, and that is in a rural area. Now multiply that by the 25 nurses on duty in my ED. Now imagine that you are in a large city where illegals are more concentrated.

You see the problem. We are being overrun.

Just Play the F*cking Song

John Meloncamp was giving a political speech in the middle of a concert when one of the people who paid to be there yelled out “Just play some music,” which really pissed off Meloncamp.

The same thing happened to me about 15 or 20 years ago, when I went to see Tonic in concert. In between songs, the band began to complain about what they referred to as “George Bush’s illegal war” and I yelled out “just play the fucking song.” Let me tell you, I almost got in a fight with several nearby concert goers who took exception to that. I don’t understand why some stoner with a guitar’s opinion on geopolitical relations is more valid than my own. If he wanted to pontificate on which guitar or microphone is of higher quality, I would listen because it’s in his wheelhouse.

International relations? Politics? Notsomuch.

Note also that he called the heckler a cocksucker, as if that word was a pejorative slur. That sounds like John wasn’t being very inclusive. In fact, it’s downright homophobic. Hoist him by his own petard.

But Illegals Can’t Vote…

I have been informed that illegals can’t vote, so there is no way that the Democrats are using the open border to rig the election. With that being the case, we don’t need a law requiring an ID and proof of citizenship to cast a ballot.

Until flyers being distributed by a US NGO that helps facilitate the illegal crossing of the US-Mexico border were intercepted. The flyers distributed in Mexico encourages illegals to vote for President Biden.

The flyer reads:

“Reminder to vote for President Biden when you are in the United States. We need another four years of his term to stay open”

Twists and Turns

This carjacking in the Orlando area has begun sounding like a television show.

Police identified the car that was involved in the carjacking as a Green 2002 Acura. There are only three of them in the state of Florida.

  • The car was purchased at a “buy here, pay here” place in February. The purchaser was never seen again after buying it, despite owing money on the car.
  • The car was towed on March 19.
  • The tow truck driver was shot at over 100 times by a 10mm and killed on April 10.
  • The carjacking turned muder happened on April 11.
  • The car was found abandoned and towed on April 13

On top of that, despite police claiming that the woman and her husband had no relatives or known associates in the Orlando area, the woman’s husband and brother contacted the wife of an Orange County Deputy, and coopted the Deputy into calling the Seminole County Deputies who were conducting the investigation, and posing as someone else, recorded the call and forwarded a copy of the recording to the husband.

This is some organized crime television drama. It stinks of organized crime.

Social Media

Picture this: You see a dark figure outside of your home one evening, so you go outside to see who it is. A person wearing a hoodie and a mask points a gun at you, so you do what any right thinking American would do- you shoot him in defense of your life.

It turns out that the kid is the 15 year old from down the street who mows your lawn, and the gun was an Airsoft replica.

The latest social media craze has teenagers sneaking around their neighborhoods at night while wearing black hoodies and masks while carrying fake guns, in a game that they are calling “Senior Assassin.”

Bad Day at Work

Room 37 is the unluckiest room in the emergency department at my hospital. It seems like every time I am assigned to the rooms 36, 37, and 38, the day turns into a disaster. The most memorable events from the past six months:

  • There was the psychotic patient who attempted to attack me before having to be tackled and held down by no fewer than 4 security guards so we could sedate him.
  • Or the woman who had a miscarriage and was given an abortion pill so she could expel the products of conception and almost bled to death. Over the hour it took for the surgical team to be prepped for her emergency D&C, I had to give her 4 units of packed RBCs, 2 units of frozen plasma, four bags of saline, and a unit of platelets. In other words, we more than replaced her entire blood volume.
  • There was the patient who had a respiratory infection that was aggravated by the fibroids that were caused by his previous COVID infection. I gave him his antibiotic (Cefepime) and within a minute he was deep into an anaphylactic reaction. I had to run to the medication room and grab the Epi kit.

Still, none of that compares to the last time I was covering room 37. Things had been going smoothly to that point. I was six hours into my shift, and things were great. I sent my patient from room 37 upstairs, and received my next. She had come into the ED complaining of abdominal pain. She was writhing around, moaning in pain, and covered in what looked like a raging case of ringworm. I needed to get an IV so I could draw her blood, give her some pain medication, and give IV access for the CT team, who were going to need that access so they could inject her with the contrast dye. She was thrashing about as I went to start the IV, and moved just as the needle broke the skin. That needle went into her arm, came out, and immediately went through my glove and into my left index finger.

Oh shit.

I pulled my glove off, and my punctured finger was coated in a mixture of her blood and my own. After more than 35 years working in the medical field, I finally received the most common nursing injury- a contaminated needle stick.

I reported it to the charge nurse, and his only comment was that I needed to stop goofing off and move patients through my section because we had almost ten people in the waiting room. So I went and found the charge nurse for the next section over, who gave me the needlestick hotline phone number.

Within two hours, they had tested patient’s blood and determined that she didn’t have Hepatitis or HIV, then tested my own to ensure the same. They also tested my blood to make sure that I still had a positive titer for Hepatitis B.

The rest of my shift went to shit. By the time I left at the end of my shift, I was ready for the weekend to start, because I had had enough. When the weekend came, I got to spend it at employee health. So much for one of my days off.
