FEMBOT wants a child

The world’s first AI Android, who is a Saudi Arabian citizen, wants to have a baby. Since she was only “born” in 2016, she will have to wait another 5 years before other Saudi Arabian men will want to marry her. Joe Biden is reportedly interested. Bill Clinton ordered one as well.

No word on if this robot baby will be fitted for a little robot suicide vest.

Geraldo can kiss my (edit)

Geraldo says that the Republican party is a “witch doctor mumbo jumbo cult” because they won’t just blindly do as they are told and get vaccinated.

Then this two bit hack from the 80s went on to say that anyone who has been vaccinated while still urging unvaccinated people to “fight for their freedom” are dickheads.

Let me just lay out my stance: After careful consideration of the risks and benefits as I saw them, I decided to get vaccinated. It was a personal medical choice made between me and my doctor. I felt it was best for me, so I got it. That may not be the same with everyone. Each of us has the same right to decide what medical care is best for us. Not everyone has the same medical situation, and there are no one size fits all solutions to ANY medical situation. You do you, and I will do me.

If that makes me a dickhead, so be it. Go ahead, lick the hand that feeds you.

EDITED TO ADD: and to those of you who don’t agree with my decision: I don’t care. At the end of the day, it was MY decision. The decision that I made doesn’t affect you. If you think that you can insult and force me to go along with YOUR decision, then you don’t understand freedom any more that the left. Freedom means that I can make my own decisions, and there isn’t fuck all that anyone can say about the matter.

Rumors

Here in the north side of Central Florida, we are experiencing shortage in frozen vegetables, along with beverages of sports drinks like Gatorade, along with canned soups being picked over. The last time I was at the store, a woman there told me that she and her husband had arrived from Pennsylvania several days before, and that area was having shortages in toilet paper and frozen vegetables. Meats were in good supply but expensive.

J KB is reporting shortages of various supplies in the Carolinas.

Things like shampoo, body wash, mouth wash, cleaning supplies, foot spray, OTC drugs, were low, especially the store brand generics.

Any other shortages in other areas of the country?

Today I went to Walmart at lunch and it took was low on a lot of non-food supplies.

Little Marxist

One of my wife’s friends is from Cuba. That friend has been dating a man from Puerto Rico, and the boyfriend has a child from a previous marriage. Let’s refer to the kid as Carlos. I first met Carlos about six years ago, when he was eight years old or so. He was a decent kid who collected coins as a hobby. He’s fourteen now. He has been in the process of “finding himself” for the past few months.

It happens. My niece decided she was gay. Then a few months later, no longer gay, but a vegetarian. Now she is back to Pescatarian. I guess kids have to experiment. My son did something similar when he was 15 or so. He decided that he wanted to be Socialist, mostly because he thought the government should pay for everything. That phase lasted until he got his first paycheck and saw how much was taken out in taxes. “This is bullshit,” was the phrase he used.

Anyway, back to Carlos. He came home recently and announced that he is a Marxist. On his visitation weekends with Mom (who is also a hardcore lefty), the two of them have been going to protest marches in places like Tallahassee, where he is waving signs saying things like “Capitalism kills” along with signs disparaging the US military, calling them baby killers, that sort of thing. He also marches with the Defund the Police, things like that.

My wife’s friend was willing to ignore it. She found a Che shirt in his closet. As a Cuban, she came unglued. I’ve seen the kid’s social media posts. He blames the US for supporting Pinochet, says he was elected and the US is to blame for supporting a dictator. He claims he is going to head to Canada as soon as he is 18. (Why do they always pick Canada?)

I can’t talk to the disgusting little monster without wanting to punch him in the face. Oh, and mom? That little communist is a certified nutcase. She is also a middle school social studies teacher.

A question on tips

This morning’s post on the minimum wage and tips brings a question to my mind:

Two couples eat at the same restaurant. They sit at adjacent tables, have the same server, and receive identical service with identical food, with one exception: the first table has a bottle of house wine that costs $20, while the second table has a bottle of vintage wine that costs $300. The question is: what did the server do for the second couple that justifies the extra $42 tip?

Signs of Shortages

Shipping delays and other supply chain problems are causing major retailers to struggle with keeping supplies and goods on the shelves. Costco has just announced rationing of items like cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and drinking water.

As this country slides more and more towards Communism, we will see more of this. In a market driven economy, bread sits in the stores waiting for consumers. In a centrally planned economy, consumers sit in the store waiting on bread.

As more and more of the left’s plans become effective, this is just another example of Communism’s (or where we are now Socialism, also called Communism lite) inability to work anywhere but in the minds of the Communists.

Transitory Inflation

A billionaire hedge fund manager is contradicting the Fed’s claim that the high inflation we are seeing now is “transitory.”

The central bank in August 2020 tweaked its policy, saying it would allow inflation to run “moderately” above 2% “for some time” in order to help the central bank meet its goal of full employment. The problem here isn’t that the economy is preventing full employment. There are jobs, business wants to hire. It’s just that the money being dumped into the economy by the Federal Reserve and the Federal Government are allowing people to sit at home without working.

It is only a matter of time before the Reserve Banks have to acknowledge what all of us already know- inflation has massively taken off. Once the FR makes it official, the market will tank, the bond market will go sour, and interest rates on the debt will soar. That will force the government to devalue the dollar in order to be able to afford the interest payments on our $30 trillion (give or take) debt.

Our rate of borrowing is already incredible. We have increased the National Debt by $6 trillion in the past two years. Since September of 2016, we have borrowed $9 trillion. It took our nation from its inception all the way to 2007 (231 years) to borrow $9 trillion. Since 2007, we have borrowed another $19 trillion.

Our debt is so large that a one percent increase in interest rates represents almost $350 billion in extra interest that must be paid. An interest rate that increases by just 3 percent will leave no money in the budget for anything else, not even Social Security.

Every President and Congress for the past 80 years has kicked this can down the road.

Trump increased the National Debt by 141% from $19.6 to $27.7 trillion in four years.

President Obama increased the debt by 185%- to $19.57 Trillion.

President George W Bush borrowed $5 trillion in 8 years, increasing the national debt by 187%.

It took President Clinton 3 and a half years to borrow his first trillion dollars. All told, he borrowed $1.2 trillion in his first term, and $600 billion in his second. He increased the national debt by 140% in eight years.

George HW Bush borrowed his first trillion in 3 years, and he increased the National debt by 170% in four years.

Reagan borrowed his first trillion in 6 years, and doubled the National debt during his eight years in the White House.

Carter increased the National debt by 150%, but “only” borrowed $300 billion in 4 years. I guess that was when $1 billion was real money.

Ford increased the debt by 147% in 3 years., Nixon by 135% in 5 years, Johnson by 116% in 6 years, Kennedy by 106% in 2 years, Eisenhower by 108% in eight years.

Biden may well be the President who is left holding the bag.
