Washington

The Washington state legislature just passed a law making it a felony to possess digital files that can be used to make any part on a CNC or a 3d machine that could potentially be used as a part of a firearm.

Not only impossible to make work in any practical or Constitutional sense, it opens a huge can of worms.

That’s Some Soviet Shit

Remember when the left got their panties in a bunch when Florida prohibited teaching about gay sex? Papers were written, and the left’s chorus were all claiming it was a First Amendment violation. (pdf warning- not hosted here)

Proving once again that, if it weren’t for double standards, the left would have no standards at all, Virginia has passed a law that defies belief. It is now a crime in Virginia for a school to “state, suggest, or present as credible a statement or suggestion that there was extensive election fraud that could have changed or actually changed the results of the 2020 presidential election.”

Not only that, but the same law says that school instruction must “Describe the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the United States Capitol as an unprecedented, violent attack on United States democratic institutions, infrastructure, and representatives for the purpose of overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election.”

Not only is this law egregious, but CBS’ reporting of it is as bad. The reporting here would have made Goebbels or Zhdanov proud. First lie is in the headline:

Virginia passes legislation prohibiting schools from teaching falsehoods about Jan. 6 riot

Read the money quote:

The White House posted a series of lies about Jan. 6 on an official federal government web page on Jan. 6, 2026, including a bogus claim that police bore responsibility for the attack.

So is telling teachers to teach only one side of a story propaganda, or not? A First Amendment issue, or not? Wouldn’t it be better in a politically charged case like this one, to present both sides and let students decide for themselves? Are we teaching students how to think, or what to think?

  • “Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”
  • “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
  • “All propaganda is lies, even when one is telling the truth. I don’t think this matters so long as one knows what one is doing, and why.”

Who Said That?

“The president had the constitutional authority to direct the use of military force because he could reasonably determine that such use of force was in the national interest.”

The next liberal who complains about the Iran conflict, ask them if the above quote is an accurate description of Presidential powers. If it isn’t, what should happen to the President making this claim?

Then point out that the above quote was from Obama.

Experts

The left are experts on everything. Now they hit every wrong answer on use of force in the comments here:

  • Just shoot to wound
  • shoot/use club to knock knife out of hand
  • only shoot once, all he has is a knife
  • he is too far away to hurt anyone
  • he is outnumbered and the cops have body armor. The cops should Taser or tackle him

That’s as far as I could get before spraining my eye from rolling it so hard. This is a group of people who have never tried to deescalate a crazy or intoxicated person. This is why women and maggots shouldn’t be able to vote- they don’t reason, they emote.

Lowering the Bar

Remember when the left wanted to tax the rich? In liberal states, they are redefining rich downward– anyone making $125,000 a year will be taxed a state rate of 9.9% in Oregon. New York is going after those who make more than $125,000. Washington is adding wealth taxes to an ever lower amount of income.

Now they are even talking about stealing 5% of someone’s total net worth- on top of all of the other taxes.

Here is what Peter Schiff had to say about that, and it’s one of my favorite quotes:

If you tax 70% of what I make above a certain amount, what I am going to do once I hit that amount is simply take the rest of the year off, and furlough all of my employees. See you in February.

Promises Made

Susan Rice, President Biden’s domestic policy chief, is promising revenge against the voters, business executives, and appointees who support President Donald Trump.

In an interview this week, Rice declared that supporters of Trump can expect the proverbial knocks on their doors: “A very prominent public figure, who has served at nearly the very highest levels, once told me … ‘Revenge is best served cold,’ and the older I get, the more I see the wisdom of that.” She added: When it comes to the elites, you know, the corporate interests, the law firms, the universities, the media … it’s not going to end well for them, for those that decided that they would act in their perceived very narrow self-interest, which I would underscore, is very short-term self-interest, and, you know, take a knee to Trump.

They hate you and want you dead. Don’t forget that, as they compare you to NAZIs, Fascists, and call you deplorable, once they regain power as they eventually will, they will begin hunting down, killing, and imprisoning those with whom they disagree.

It’s coming, and all the election of Trump has done is create a small, temporary speed bump in their plans.

51 Days

Mayor of New York Mamdani was elected with Socialist promises of free ice cream and a socialist utopia, with a solemn promise of making the rich pay for it. It only took 51 days for him to float the first tax increase on people who aren’t rich.

“This would effectively be a tax on working and middle class New Yorkers, who have a median income of $122,000,” he said

That amount of money is not much in New York. The people making $122k isn’t a lot of money. The proposed tax hike? A 9.5% increase in property taxes. This is why I keep saying New Yorkers need to stay there, and stop moving to Florida where they vote for more of the same policies that made them come here in the first place.

Second Amendment

I’m going to chime in on the ICE shooting of Pretti. Not the shooting itself, but in the left’s sudden discovery and defense of the Second Amendment. They, along with some on the right, are saying ICE shouldn’t shoot people merely for practicing their RKBA. That isn’t what happened.

You have a right to keep and bear arms. You have a right to peaceably assemble for a redress of your grievances. What you don’t have is the right to use that weapon in furtherance of your scheme to break the law. As an example, let’s look at a recent shooting in the Central Florida area.

An Osceola County sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a shoplifting suspect inside a Walmart on Thursday after the man pulled a gun and was running through the store. Does he have a right to carry a gun? Yes. Did he have a right to do so while breaking the law? No. Did it get his ass shot? It seems so.

Now apply this to Pretti. Did he have a right to carry a gun? Yes. Did he have a right to peaceably assemble? Yes. Does peaceable assembly include interfering with police activity or arrests? No. Does interfering with police activity while armed greatly increase the chances of a cop shooting you? Yes, yes it does.

The takeaway here is that, if you DO decide to break the law while armed, you have to be willing to accept this: If you are interfering with police carrying out their duties, you are no longer an observer or a protester, you are a participant. If you do so while armed, you are a combatant. Being a combatant, you no longer get to say that you are merely protesting, observing, or acting as a “medic.”
